The Arc Community Advocates of Kalamazoo County (The Arc) has been a leader in advocating for and supporting the needs of children, teens, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), including individuals and their families. Serving individuals and families throughout Kalamazoo and surrounding counties, the agency offers innovative programs and services to foster independence, personal enrichment, and integration into community life.
Established in 1953, The Arc‘s mission emphasizes empowering children, teens and adults to achieve their potential by strengthening families and encouraging personal choices, abilities, and interests. The agency offers a full range of services addressing education, power of attorney, employment, transportation, benefits, career and employment, residential services, family support, and guardianship services.
